Te Papa!

While JP was at work, we set off via the bus for downtown Wellington to celebrate the first day of summer - December 1st.   New Zealand's national museum, the Te Papa - is great for all ages!  We plan to make several trips here during our stay.  We spent a few hours exploring the area - finding where we live on the giant map of New Zealand, crawling in a large - life-size blue whale heart, dressing up and playing drums in one of the many hands-on centers!  Afterwards, Emma got to talk with and hug a panda, then do some chalk art as part of the launch of the WWF creative competition ocean: views

  1. Hi Kids,

So much fun to see all your activities! Hope the bruises heal fast! Molly has such an expressive little face!
We play scrabble a fair amount as well, I often say luck has a lot to do with it, especially when I'm losing which is rare!
    xx Mom MJ
